Congratulations to Under 15s!
Ventnor Hurricanes are through to the regional final of the ECB Under 15 National Club Championship after beating Ryde by seven wickets at Newclose.
Tom Noyes (50*) and Liam Goldsmith (35) led the chase of 133, after Ryde’s Harry Webb top scored with 47*.
Defeat for Ventnor at Totton & Eling
Totton & Eling beat Ventnor by 30 runs in a 600-run thriller in Southern Premier League Division 1.
Totton posted 318-6 (Alvin Ditole 111, Jimmy Taylor 74). Ventnor replied with Dineth Thimodya (98) and Ben Woodhouse (80), but fell short at 288 all out.

Blackman in the Runs Again
Martin Blackman’s tally reached 375 runs in five matches as Ventnor beat Winton by seven wickets in Hampshire League Division 2B.
Winton set 222 (Ethan Short 3-27, Charlie Calloway 2-42, Jack Powell 2-50, Ollie Morgan 2-34).
Blackman (86*) saw Ventnor home with Kevin Cooper (58) and Toby Noyes (32*).

McQuillan Half Century Secures Win for Thirds
Ventnor’s third XI beat Newport I by two wickets at Newclose.
Newport made 168 (Sean Turner 3-31, James Curtis 3-18, Rafe Hawkins 2-13).
Ventnor replied with Sean Turner (46) and Harrison McQuillan (57*), winning off the penultimate ball.

Ventnor chased 90 against Bembridge to win by seven wickets. Contributions came from Monty Borman (22), Lucas Cotton (18) and Chris Andrew (19).

Ethan Short smashed 102* (10 sixes, 4 fours) in a friendly against Fernhurst. Dineth Thimodya added 106.
Ventnor made 314-1 before restricting the tourists to 164-9 (Matteo Burgess 4-21, Jackson Parker 2-11).
London Tourists Edge Out Ventnor
Downsiders (130) beat Ventnor (126) by four runs at Steephill. Lucas Cotton (3-37), Sean Turner (2-17), Toby Noyes (2-0) starred with the ball. Nick Dobson made 20*.
