Ventnor Lose in High Scoring Affair
A high scoring Southern Premier League Division One contest at Steephill saw Hambledon beat Ventnor by three wickets.
Dineth Thimodya (72) and Josh Carpenter (43) shared an opening stand of 125, with Hugh Calloway (45), Will Mew (28), Dan Cox (27), and Charlie Calloway (23*) helping Ventnor to 270-7.
Despite off-spin efforts from Thimodya (2-31) and Cox (2-53), Hambledon chased the target, led by Henry Glanfield (94).

Local Derby Win for Ventnor Seconds
Ventnor’s second team moved top of Hampshire League Division 2B after a seven-wicket win over Ryde at the John Black Ground.
Ryde made 196 all out (Ash Goldsmith 43; Kayton Evans 5-?, Harrison McQuillan 3-35).
Ventnor’s reply was led by Ben Davies (42), Ben Attrill (63), Martin Blackman (27) and Toby Noyes (36*), reaching the target with three overs to spare.

40-Run League Victory for Under 13s
Monty Borman, Lucas Cotton and Chris Andrew each passed 20 as Ventnor reached 143-5 in Monday’s Under 13 League game against Arreton.
Chris Andrew then took two wickets as Arreton were restricted to 103-6.
